I have one SuperServer 2028U-TR4+, it has CPU IERR issue and not able to boot into Windows Hyper-V OS, so I tried to update BIOS Version 2.0 from to 3.2a the latest version that I can find on Supermicro website.
But once I updated to 3.2a successfully, when I reboot the Server It stuck at screen with Message " Press <Control><R> to Run MegaRAID Configuration Utility.
The firmware in AOC-S3108L-H8IR(s) will need to be updated.
First of all you need to by pass the “hung-up” by
- Power down
- Remove both AOC-3108 cards in system.
- Boot to BIOS
- Change those 2 AOC-3108 slots from Legacy to EFI
o BIOS >> Advanced >> PCIE/PCI/PnP Configuration
- Save and reboot back to BIOS to verify change.
- Power down
- Insert those 2 AOC-3108 back to slots
Update 3108 Firmware:
- Download Firmware from
o https://www.supermicro.com/wdl/driver/SAS/LSI/3108/Firmware/
o Recent_Version.zip (Unzip file)
- Reboot system to UEFI shell
- Flash both firmware with these 2 commands. (One at a time)
o storcli.efi /c0 download file=smc3108.rom
o storcli.efi /c1 download file=smc3108.rom
