I have a server 1029P-WTRT with 8 SATA drives and 2 U.2 NVMe drives. I can see the 8 SATA drives in BIOS but cannot see the 2 NVMe drives in BIOS. The cables are well connected. What could be the root cause?

You can see your NVMe drives in IPMI storage monitoring.
