When I physically eject my nvme drive, will the BMC log this event?

Yes the BMC will log this event in the Health Event Log. If using syslog the message will look like this:

{BMC-IP} redfish- ipmi: Health EventLog2026-01-21T01:27:22.236083+00:00|{bmc_ip}|OpenBMC.0.1.Warning| [NVME-0000] Device @ 0 CPLD @ 0 Slot @ 3 Ejected - Asser
