The Supermicro SYS-120U-TNR is a dual-socket Intel Xeon “Ice Lake” generation server. In this generation, Intel adds more cores, new instructions, and more platform capabilities.
With the launch of Intel’s Ice Lake Xeon Scalable platform comes a new socket and a range of features that vendors like Supermicro have to design for.
